  • Office for National Statistics
  • The Cato Institute

Consider adopting one of these if your organisation is just starting to get into data visualisation—or if your existing charts aren’t up to scratch.

I did think about picking the best of the best of 2018 visualisation lists—but I couldn’t do it to you.

But, it’s a great resource so worth reading.

Economist charts of the year

The Economist recently selected its (own) 12 favourite charts of 2018.

My favourite is the penalty shoot-out visualisation. A great example of how to present statistical data to a general audience.

I also liked their "Build an American Voter" widget. Apparently I’m not alone as it won them an award.
